Positioning the Brazilian suppliers of accessories and components for the furniture industry in Latin America is the goal of the Orchestra Brasil Project by supporting the participation of nine Brazilian companies in the Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial fair in Mexico City from January 16 to 18. A total of nine companies supported by the project will exhibit their new products at the event in two booths backed by the project to encourage exports - is a partnership between the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

The companies taking part in this initiative are manufacturers of components, paints, machinery, equipment and software for the furniture industry: Cipatex, CPI/Tegus, Cripa, Lidear, Lufati, Projepack, Promob, Renner Sayerlack and Zen Design. The participation in the show aims to strengthen both the negotiations and the positioning of this segment in Mexico and adjacent markets, since the country is the second largest economy in Latin America.

The president of Sindmóveis, Vinicius Benini, points out that Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves is especially concerned with the development not only of the furniture industry, but also of its suppliers. According to him, the integration with the international market is essential for business sustainability in the domestic market and the strengthening of the industry as a whole directly benefits the Brazilian furniture manufacturers. "In addition to the gains in competitiveness, companies increase their resilience and crisis-coping capacity," he says.

Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial has been held annually for 25 years in Mexico City and this year it brings together exhibitors from 11 countries in the segments of processing, transformation and materials/components for wood. The event has strategic relevance for the Orchestra Brasil Project since Mexico is one of the 10 largest export destinations of the companies supported by the project and there has been a general increase of Mexican imports of the Brazilian products included in the project, in particular machinery and equipment.
